Esther Pincus, 69 years old, passed away January 5, 2017, at home beside her beloved husband Joseph of 47 years. As a counselor at West Springfield High School for 32 years, she was very devoted to her students and pioneered many group counseling activities including a college partnership group for the disadvantaged in which 100 percent of her students went on to college. A passionate gardener, Esther founded a retirement landscaping business called Glorious Gardens. For four years she did award winning gardens throughout Northern Virginia. She is survived by her husband Joseph, a son David of Sydney, Australia, and a daughter Ellen of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Funeral services will be on Sunday, January 8 at 1:30 p.m.at Olam Tikvah Synagogue, 3800 Glenbook Rd. Fairfax, VA 22031. Burial will follow at King David Memorial Gardens, 7482 Lee Highway, Fall Church, VA 22042.
