On September 14th, 2019 Ricky (Rick) D Padgett passed away at the age of 68. Born on August 15, 1951 in Washington, DC to the late Ray and Audrey Padgett. He was the loving father to Brian Padgett, Michele Ford, David Padgett, Michael Padgett & Ashlie Gerard (and their spouses/significant others) and grandfather to 10 grandchildren. He was born in Washington DC and lived the majority of his life (except for his time in the army) in the Northern Virginia area. He served in the army and Vietnam, then worked 38 years on Capitol Hill as a Capitol Hill Police officer. He retired 10 years ago. He loved his family and said he lived a full life with no regrets. He spent his life taking care of people and for that, we are eternally grateful. He will be missed.

Arrangements are as follows:
Wednesday, September 25th, the viewing will be held 6 pm to 8 pm at Cunningham Turchs Funeral Home in Alexandria, VA.
Thursday, September 26th, the funeral will be held 11 am to 12 then the procession to Mt Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, VA with military honors graveside service at 12:30.

It is never easy to lose a Mom or Dad, but harder if it is a parent who has walked with you through the good & bad in life, and still loves you to the Moon & back.
