On Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, John R. Groves of Alexandria, VA. Beloved husband of June Groves, father of Thomas Sally, Charles, Timothy Tracy and Brenda Madigan Melvin, father-in-law of Gina. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call upon the family at Cunningham Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St. Alexandria, VA from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. A funeral service will occur on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 12:00 PM at Cunningham Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
