George A. Puccia, 90, of Alexandria, VA passed away on October 4, 2013 at Sunrise of Mount Vernon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Puccia. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Terenyi and her husband, Thomas; and Rita Filmonchik and her husband, John. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Thomas Terenyi and his wife Rebecca, and their children, Aidan, Sarayah, and Israel; Christopher Terenyi and his wife Lauren, and their daughter Kathryn; Michael and Jane Filmonchik. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St. Alexandria, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8710 Mount Vernon Highway, Alexandria, VA 22309. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church or American Cancer Society, P.O. Box, 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123. Burial will be private at a later time.
