Catherine Marie White, 82, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away surrounded by family on June 17, 2021. She was born on May 26, 1939 in Culpepper Virginia.
Catherine was a very beautiful and classy lady, always determined to reach her goals, she had a “Get er’ Done” kinda’ attitude. Catherine loved decorating for all occasions, especially Christmas. She looked forward to anytime the family would get together. Catherine was gifted with many interests, some of those include sewing, knitting, crocheting. Using her creativity, she was always able to put her mind to work and create joy in others’ lives. She always had a way for everything, including her home remedies to keep her family happy and healthy. Most importantly, Catherine had a great relationship with her savior and constantly prayed for others around her.
Catherine is proceeded in death by her loving husband of many years, Albert L. White Sr., and three children, Herbert Glenn White, Billy Joe Shifflett and Albert L. White Jr. (Buster). She is also proceeded in death by one granddaughter, Brittany Ann Baker.
Catherine leaves behind seven children, Wilson Shifflett, Viola Marie (White) Baker, Richard Lee White, Rosanna White, Loretta Mae (White) German, Steven Lee White, William “Billy” White. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a large group of family and friends.
She was always loved and will be missed very much!
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 11:00AM at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12:00PM. Committal services will be held a Bethel Cemetery in Alexandria, Viriginia at 1:30PM.
