Shirley Lee Habron, 82, of Alexandria, VA, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023. Shirley was born on May 25, 1941 in Alexandria, VA to the late Lawrence M. Gaines and Louise M. Session Gaines. She was the wife of the late John G. Habron in 1997.
Shirley is survived by her children, Johnny, Penny, Linda, Tammy and Jackie. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her many family members and friends.
After Shirley retired from Fairfax County Schools, she dedicated her life to being a caregiver to others.
The family will receive friends at the Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, where a Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 South Kings Highway, Alexandria, VA 22306.
