CELEBRATION OF THE LIFE OF MR. SIRAK CHERINET

Sirak Cherinet, son of Qenazmach Cherinet T/Wold and Weizero Amarech Mekuria was born in the capital city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on March 30th, 1965. Sirak was the fourth child for his family and is survived by his sisters Sinidu Cherenet, Selamawit Cherinet; his brothers Tezera Cherinet and Dawit Cherenet.

As a child, Sirak grew up surrounded with great love and discipline. In his early years, Sirak attended the Cathedral Elementary School and graduated from Entoto Secondary High School in the year 1985. Sirak then proceeded to join Commercial Collage of Addis Ababa where he graduated with an Accounting Diploma in 1987.

After graduation, Sirak served as a Financial Auditor starting from the year 1988 to 1990 in the Ministry of Trade in Addis Ababa. From there, he journeyed to the United States in the year 1990. From 1991 until his departure, he served in different roles with different organizations. Most recently, he was employed as a Facility Manager at The Atlantic Service Group.

Sirak is a very loving and devoted father. He is survived by his eldest son Aron Sirak Cherinet, his middle child Joseph Sirak Cherinet and his youngest son Sam Sirak. Sirak grew up in church where he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior from a young age. While he was in the hospital for treatment, he was often singing the Amharic Christian song “Yashageregn Bedil Yawetagn”. In translation, this song means God transcends me to be a triumphant. Throughout his illness, his wife Delila Zemichael was by his side comforting him with great love.

Sirak Cherinet passed away on February 17th, 2022 at 11:00 PM to go to a better place that God has prepared for his children. Even if his family and friends are losing their beloved one, we are comforted by the hope of the resurrection that we received from our Lord. We hope that we will see him in heaven. Until then, we will honor his legacy and put his memories with in our hearts lovingly.

የአቶ ሲራክ ቸርነት አጭር የህይወት ታሪክ

አቶ ሲራክ ቸርነት ከአባታቸው ከቀኛዝማች ቸርነት ተ/ወልድና ከእናታቸው ከወ/ሮ አማረች መኩሪያ መጋቢት 21 ቀን 1957 ዓ/ም በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ ተወለዱ። ለቤተሰባቸው አራተኛ ልጅ ሲሆኑ ከሁለት እህቶቻቸው ከወ/ሮ ስንዱ ቸርነትና ከወ/ሮ ሰላማዊት ቸርነት እንዲሁም ከወንድሞቻቸው ከአቶ ተዘራ ቸርነትና ከወጣት ዳዊት ቸርነት ጋር በመልካም አስተዳደግ አድገዋል።

ዕድሜያቸው ለትምህርት ሲደርስ የመጀመሪያ ደረጃ ትምህርታቸውን አዲስ አበባ በሚገኘው የካቴድራል አንደኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤትና የሁለተኛ ደረጃ ትምህርታቸውን በ1977 ዓ/ም በእንጦጦ አጠቃላይ ሁለተኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤት አጠናቀዋል። አቶ ሲራክ አዲስ አበባ በሚገኘው የንግድ ሥራ ኮሌጅ ለሁለት ዓመት በመከታተል በአካውንቲንግ ዲፕሎማቸውን በ1979 ዓ/ም አግኝተዋል።

አቶ ሲራክ አዲስ አበባ በሚገኘው የንግድ ሚኒስቴር መሥሪያ ቤት ለሦስት ዓመታት በሒሳብ ኦዲተርነት ከ1980 እስከ 1982 ዓ/ም ድረስ በሙያቸው አገልግለዋል። በ1982 ዓ/ም ወደ አሜሪካን ሀገር ከመጡ በኋላ እስከ ዕለተ ህልፈታቸው በተለያዩ ድርጅቶች የሠሩ ሲሆን በመጨረሻም በአትላንቲክ ሰርቪስ ግሩፕ መሥሪያ ቤት በፋሲሊቲ ማኔጀርነት አገልግለዋል።

አቶ ሲራክ ልጆቻቸውን የሚወዱ፣ በፍቅርም ያሳደጉ መልካም አባት ሲሆኑ በህይወት ዘመናቸው ሦስት ልጆችን አፍርተዋል። እነርሱም አሮን ሲራክ ቸርነት፣ ዮሴፍ ሲራክ ቸርነትና ሳም ሲራክ ናቸው። አቶ ሲራክ ከወጣትነት ዘመናቸው ጀምሮ በጌታ ቤት ያደጉና በጌታችን በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ አዳኝነት የሚያምኑ ሲሆን ባደረባቸው ህመም በሆስፒታል ቆይታቸው “ያሻገረኝ፣ በድል ያወጣኝ” የሚለውን መዝሙር አዘውትረዉ ይዘምሩ ነበር። በአንድ ዓመት የሆስፒታል ቆይታቸው ባለቤታቸው ወ/ሮ ደሊላ ዘሚካኤል ከጎናቸው ሳይለዩ በጥሩ ሁኔታ ተንከባክበው አስታመዋቸዋል።

አቶ ሲራክ እግዚአብሔር ወዳዘጋጀላቸው የተሻለ ሥፍራ የካቲት 10 ቀን 2014 ዓ/ም ከምሽቱ 11 ሰአት ወደ ጌታ ሄደዋል። እጅግ የምንወዳቸውን አቶ ሲራክ ቸርነትን በማጣታችን ቤተሰቦቻቸውና ጓደኞቻቸው እጅግ ያዘንን ቢሆንም ጌታ በሰጠን ተስፋ በትንሳኤ እንደምናገኛቸው እያሰብንና እሳቸውም ያሳዩንን ፍቅር በማስታወስ በልባችን እናኖራቸዋለን።
