Roger Lee Perdue, 77, of Alexandria, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2017. He was the son of the late Charles and Cora Perdue. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Perdue, and Misty their beloved dog; children, Richard Lee Carlson Sr. and Ronald Ervin; grandchildren Nikki Jessup, Richard Lee Carlson Jr, David Paul Carlson, and Nathan John Carlson; great grandchildren, Alyssa Jessup, Haley Jessup, Aidan Jessup, Rhys Carlson, Devyn Carlson, Raelyn Elizabeth Carlson, and Paul Roger Carlson. He is also survived by his siblings Peggy Charles, Charlotte Rowe, and Donald Perdue. Roger’s extended family includes nieces Theresa, Catherine, Stephanie, Cynthia and Donna; Nephews Anthony, Eddie, Rodney, Mark, John, and Brian. He is preceded in death by his sister, Eileen Fleming. Roger was a letter carrier for The United States Postal Service, member of The American Legion, and a United States Army veteran. Visitation will be held 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St. Alex. VA 22314 on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Interment will be 12pm Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 South Kings Hwy. Alexandria, VA 22306.
