Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Belton, 82, departed this life on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Medstar Hospital in Maryland. Mrs. Mary Elizebeth Belton was born on October 23, 1942. She is the daughter of the late Mr. Saul Jonathan Benjamin and Neola (Cain) Benjamin. Mary was educated in the Lee County, S.C. school system. She attended Mount Pleasant AME Church in Elliott, SC. She was employed at Aramark (formerly ARA Book and Magazine Services) for many years. Her favorite saying was “You can take that to the bank”.

Loving and cherished memories are left to: her husband, Mr. Joesph Belton, one son, Mr. Jermaine Belton, and two grandchildren: Savii and Jeremiah Belton. Seven sisters: Shirley George/deceased) Jackson, Lillie B. (Robert) Melton, Elouise Shelton, Rosetta (Robert) Hannibal, Francine (David) Benjamin-Abrams, Mrs. Yvette Monique (Larry) Crawford, and Yvon Maria Shuler; two brothers; Chris (Tammy)Benjamin, Alvin M. Benjamin, and an honorary brother Mr, Dan Reddin, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Saul and Neola (Cain) Benjamin, four brothers Dave J. Benjamin, Charles E. Benjamin, Carl Benjamin, and Alphonso Benjamin, and one nephew Terrance O. Jackson, and other relatives and friends.
