Luisa ‘Lurin’ Arroyo Chamorro left us on the 28th day of January 2017. Her passing was difficult but she passed away peacefully and surrounded by family. She was born on August 25, 1943 in Ponce, PR to Guadalupe Arroyo and Carmen Chamorro. She was sister to Noel Genaro and Haydee Christina. She went to Nursing School and was a nurse for over 35 years. She was very spiritual and a natural born healer. She was known for her fighting spirit, stubbornness, humor, kindness, and great cooking. She enjoyed caring for others, reading the bible, painting, music, ceramics, and seeing beauty in life. Her home was host to unwanted neighborhood pets, missionaries, and all who needed a safe place to stay. All were welcome. She was mother to Edna Frances, Carmen Vanessa, Luisa Iris, and Jonathan Radames. She was grandmother to Israel, Lissa Marie, Christian, Taryn, Javier, and Alexander. She was great-grandmother Niya, Lissa, and Ciara. They were all her joy. Her whole happiness lay in seeing her children grow up in good health, and she was willing to do any amount of work to achieve that goal …she succeeded
