Laurence Curry

Laurence “Dan” Curry, 85, of Alexandria, VA, formerly of Cape Cod and St. Louis, passed quietly in his sleep on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at home. He was born in Decatur, IL on December 19, 1932. Dan served in the Navy aboard the Icebreaker USS Edisto during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed bowling, spending time with family and friends, watching old movies, and listening to country music.
He is predeceased by his wife, Ann (Walsh) Curry, his eldest son Stephen and his siblings Tom, Alice, Arlene, Raymond and Aldin. He leaves behind his brother Donald Wayne Curry of Decatur, IL; his children; James Curry and his wife Dee Christopher of Alexandria, VA, Donna Halligan and husband Scott of Marstons Mills, MA, Lynda Schermesser and husband Ron of Crestwood, MO, Susanne Capra of Marstons Mills, MA, Lisa Curry of St. Louis, MO and Michael Curry and his wife Mary of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren: Trisha, Crystal, Raechel, Jesse, Sarah, Hannah, Danielle and Heather, as well as several great, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Bourne National Cemetery on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 1:15 pm. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the National Stroke Foundation, 9707 East Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112.
