Joseph J. Thomas

Joseph J. Thomas, 65, of Stafford, died October 19, 2017 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. He was born February 26, 1952 to the late William and Anna Thomas (Frazier). Mr. Thomas enjoyed Bluegrass music, fishing, casinos, and visiting the Shenandoah Valley. He is survived by his wife, Janice Sexton-Thomas; his long time companion, Kimberly Williams; children, Tammy Thomas Witt, Virginia Shanahan, Joseph T. Thomas, Jr. (Amy); grandchildren, Steven, Samantha, Mathew, Makayla, Haley, Luke, Gracie, and Zane; and great grandchildren, Kaelynn, Madison, Maddox, and Branson. He is also survived by his siblings, Deborah Page (Danny), Nickey Thomas, Theresa Thomas, Rodney Thomas (Rhonda), Darrell Thomas (Stacy), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Thomas and, brother Leland Bailey.

The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Monday, October 23, 2017 at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St. Alex. Va 22314. A Life Celebration service will be held 12pm Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the funeral home, followed by interment at Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA. 22314.
