Jacob E. Lustig, 82, of Springfield, died suddenly August 25, 2017 at home. He was born to the late Philip and Norma Lustig in Honesdale, PA on March 5, 1935 and grew up in Binghamton, NY. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Phyllis Lustig; children, Steven and his wife Nancy, Gary and his wife Barbara, and Brian and his wife Kimberly. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Shoshanna, Bailey, Rebecca, Daniel, and Leah Lustig; and his brother, Brig. Gen. (Ret) Sheldon J. Lustig.
Mr. Lustig attended Syracuse University, was a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point Class of 1957, and received his Masters Degree at the University of Southern California. He was also a long standing member of Congregation Olam Tikvah in Fairfax Virginia and a brother of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity.
Memorial service will be held 11am on September 3 at Cong Olam Tikvah; interment at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
