Edward Lee Harrison

Edward L. Harrison, 72, passed away on December 2, 2022. Edward was born in Arlington, Virginia, on August 26, 1950. Ed, as he liked to be called, attended Thomas A. Edison High School, in Alexandria, Virginia. After graduation, he worked for McClelland Press in Alexandria, Virginia for over 40 years, before retiring. He also attended a trade school to become a sound engineer, which was his passion.
Ed was active with the Virginia Jaycees for more than 30 years and enjoyed working with the community, in addition he worked with the Special Olympics through Camp Virginia.
One of the kindest souls on this planet, our father was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ed truly enjoyed the outdoors, to include hunting and fishing, as well as the civil war. He was also an avid knife collector. After retiring, he enjoyed watching western and war movies, listening to his vast music collection, and spending time with family and friends.
He is predeceased by his father Robert Harrison, mother Norma Harrison, and wife Nancy Harrison. He is survived by his daughter Megan Harrison (John VanGorden), son Scott Harrison (Daniele Jackman), grandson Aidyn Harrison, and brother Frank Burton.
Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in us. He was always there for us, whether we needed help with our homework or just a shoulder to cry on. He was a man of strong faith, and he taught us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Our father was a true role model who we will always look up to. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Fairfax and the American Heart Association.

Father, you are now at peace, but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
