William Preston Younger was born on July 20, 1935 to loving parents, John Younger and Nancy (Sims) Younger. He was the fourth of seven siblings, Grace, John Jr., Janice, Robert, and Marion whom are all deceased.

Left to mourn his passing is brother, Calvin (Pauline) of Halifax, VA. William attended Halifax Training High School.  He also was a member of Bannister Baptist Church in Halifax, VA.

After moving to Alexandria, VA in 1956 he enjoyed visiting many churches in the area. He also in 1956 married his first wife, Ruby Richardson. From this union they were blessed with three children, Jimmy (Cecila), Jesse (Pam) and Mary  who preceded him in death.

Some years later, he met and married his second wife, Gloria (1996). She had three children that loved him very much, Paul, Patrick, and Pamela. Other family members left to mourn William are, sister-in-law, Fannie Mae Younger, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends.

William worked for over 23 years for Errals Chevrolet auto dealership. Eventually, he retired from Scope Utility Company in Alexandria, VA. He always had good memories and stories to tell about his loving parents and siblings whom he loved very much. He resided in Alexandria with Gloria until his illness and was placed in Envoy Nursing Home by the State. He was a good man, husband, and father. He is truly missed.
