On November 7, 2008 in Alexandria, VA. He was a Korean veteran of The U.S. Air Force and retired from George Hyman Construction after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark E. Ambrose. Husband of Josephine F. Ambrose, father of William J. Ambrose Linda, Richard L. Ambrose Anita, David W. Ambrose Karen, Thomas W. Ambrose Claudia, and Patricia A. Jones Mark, brother of Edmond L. Ambrose and Gloria J. Carter. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A celebration of William?s life will be held from 6-9 pm on Monday, November 10, 2008 at Cunningham Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, Virginia. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA
