William F. Bolton, Sr., 88, of Lady Lake, Florida died on February 13, 2017. He was born December 15, 1928 in Alexandria, VA to the late James J. and Gertrude B. Bolton. He was one of the most gentle and loving people anyone could ever meet. A wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, who will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Mr. Bolton is survived by his loving wife, and best friend of 40 years Barbara Bolton; children, Christine, Cathy, William Jr. “Billy”, Carol and Collen Bolton; and step daughter, Denise Hatcher. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Heather, Jasmine, Sarah and William III “Billy” Bolton, Brittany, Katilin, John Franklin, and Charles Hatcher, as well as 8 great grandchildren. He retired from Interstate Commerce Commission in Washington, DC after 38 years of service, and was a faithful member, and past President of the Eagles Club of Alexandria before moving to Florida.The family will receive friends from 7pm to 9pm, Monday, February 20, 2017 at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St. Alexandria, VA 22314. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30am Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 2907 Popkins Lane, Alexandria, VA 22306, followed by interment at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA.
