William A. “Bill” Simms of Springfield, Va. passed away on March 26th, 2023. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia R. Simms and son, William A. “Rusty” Simms Jr. Father of Sharon Simms Essex (Gary). Grandfather of Julie Ryan Meyer and Stacie Elizabeth Mikels (Ross). Great grandfather of Ryan Patrick Meyer, Andon Bailey Mikels, and Noelle Grace Mikels. William is also survived by brother, David L. Simms, and sister, Barbara Jewell.
Bill was a lifelong resident of Alexandria, Va., and a Master Mason with Andrew Jackson Lodge #120, Scottish Rite and Kena Shriners. A celebration of Life will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on April 14th at 11:00am at 2701 Cameron Mills Road, Alexandria, Va. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church. Interment will be private.
