Virginia Lucille Berlo Hicks Inscoe passed from this life to eternity on May 18, 2010 at the Barrington Place Nursing Home, Lacanto, Florida. Virginia was the daughter of George and Lillie Drowns Berlo. She was preceded in death by her husband’s Ernest Lawson Hicks and James Inscoe, both of Alexandria, Va. She was the sister of Joseph Berlo of Alexandria, Virginia who also preceded her in death. She is survived by a half sister, Jean F. Maffei of Lynn, Mass. Her three surviving children are: James E. Hicks of Pensacola, Fl., Sandra D. Myers Freeman of Moulton, Al. and Sherrie L. Rawlings Ross of Homosassa, Florida. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.Virginia was born in Alexandria, Va. January 26, 1919 and passed from this life May 18, 2010. She was a long time resident of Alexandria, VA until the summer of 2004 when she moved to Homosassa, Fl, making her home with her youngest daughter, Sherrie. She was a loving wife and mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family. A visitation and celebration of Virginia?s life will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 10-11 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11 AM at Cunningham Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St. Alexandria, VA. The interment will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Barrington Place Nursing Home, 2341 W. Norvell Bryant Hwy., Lecanto, FL 34461.
