Tija was born in Arlington County on January 23, 1974, to Cassandra Brown and the late Walter Smith (Troy). Tija attended T.C. Williams High School, in which he graduated and received his diploma. He later worked over 10 years at Howard University, which he genuinely enjoyed. He loved family gatherings, holidays, and sports. His favorite football team was the “Washington Commanders.” Tija really loved Washington, DC. He was very fashionable and loved to look stylish.
Tija was called home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2022. Tija is survived by his mother, Cassandra Brown, Donnie McCallum (Stepfather), Darnell Brown (brother), Tija Brown Jr. (TJ) son. Three Aunts whom he really adored, Wanda Brown, Karen Taylor, and Terry Taylor. One uncle, Eddie Taylor and host of cousins, a sister, and brothers whom he loved dearly.
You will be missed, but never forgotten!
The Life Celebration Service for Tija Tyron Brown will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, located at 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA (Old Town) 22314.
