Sigmund S. BernheimerA lifelong Alexandria resident passed at Alexandria Hospital on February 19, 2008. Sigmund was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Doris Frank Bernheimer. He is survived by his daughter, Carole Bernheimer Hammond; his son, Jon Bernheimer; four grandchildren, John Hammond, Keith Hammond, David Hammond, and Jennifer Hammond. Services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 1PM at Cunningham Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA, 22314. Burial to follow at Home of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Senior Services of Alexandria.
