Ramonda Rochelle Scott was born on July 13th, 1962 in sunny California. From the moment she was born, she brought so much joy into the lives of her parents, Raymont and Nadine. Rochelle’s life was full of happiness and light, for she always had an optimistic outlook. Her bright smile could light up any room and her warm heart could ease worries. She had many passions in life, the first being her family. Rochelle is survived by her husband, Derek and daughter, Noelle, along with many other adoring family members and friends. Rochelle and Derek’s love for classics like, Miles Davis and The Isley Brothers took them to concerts and jazz festivals throughout their marriage. Rochelle and her daughter shared a love for food and fashion. Whether they were cooking family recipes together or swapping clothes, these two were much more than just mother and daughter, they were close friends. From a young age Rochelle always strived to be the best tennis player she could be. Her love of tennis stayed with her through moves from California, to Georgia, to the Washington DC area, up until she entered eternal life on August 20th, 2016 at the Community Hospice, Washington Center. Rochelle enjoyed being outside and taking moments to truly appreciate all of the beauty around her. One of her favorite places to relax was her rooftop deck, overlooking National Harbor, with a margarita and good mystery novel in hand. Whether you had known Rochelle her whole life or only a few short years, she had a gift; certainly you were left with a lasting impression that will never be forgotten. May she forever rest in peace.Ramonda Rochelle Scott Memorial Service will take place Saturday September 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church Alexandria, 2932 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22302
