Patrick “Paddy” Douglas Murphy of Alexandria, Virginia
Born June 5, 1939 in Dublin, Ireland, he passed away May 27, 2020, surrounded by loved ones.
Paddy was the son of Anastasia “Connie” Kelly Murphy and James Murphy of Dublin, Ireland.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Mullins Murphy of 41 years, his four children, Michael, Kevin, Eileen and Sean Murphy, his eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter, his sister Mary Murphy and family member Sharon Feltmann, as well as numerous family members and friends in the United States, Ireland, England and Canada.
Paddy’s personality was bigger than life. He enjoyed physical fitness, long walks, love of nature, and conducting tours with his extensive knowledge of Washington, DC, his adopted city
He will be remembered most for his story-telling, sense of humor, adventurous lifestyle, love of life and spirituality.
A celebration of life memorial service will take place at a later date.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
