Patrick M. McClure
“Mac”
April 27, 1951 – November 28, 2022
71 years old

Mr. Patrick M. McClure was born on April 27, 1951 and passed away as a man of faith on November 28, 2022 at Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia at the age of 71 years old. He was adopted and raised by the loving Irish American McClure family in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He grew up to succeed and make a name for himself in a variety of professional positions from a multi-national insurance underwriter to an account manager for some federal programs. At the age of 60, Mac shifted gears and decided to pursue a career as a writer, using his life for inspiration and skills planted in him by his ancestral storytelling roots. In 2014, he celebrated the release of his debut title, “The Journals of Willum O’Dell”, Volume 1 – Give the People What they Want…the first installment of his six-volume series. Following the release of the six-volume series, Mac looked to his past once more and his love of detective mysteries and released “The Grayson O’Toole Mysteries.” He loved admiring art as well as creating his own artwork and paintings in his spare time. He also enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or just taking a relaxing walk and enjoying what nature had to offer. There was nothing more important to Mac than helping his friends and family however he could, this is what truly made him whole, and he enjoyed doing it.

A celebration of life and memorial services for Mac will be held at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home in Old Town Alexandria located at 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314 on Saturday January 28, 2023. The welcoming and visitation will be from 2:00-3:00pm for those who would like to view some photos of Mac and appreciate his artwork. The life celebration service will be from 3:00-4:00 p.m., led by Pastor Chris Davis from Groveton Baptist Church.
