Norman Warder, age 74, of Alderson, WV, passed away February 6, 2021. Born April 24, 1946 in Oxon Hill, MD, he was the son of the late Edward W. and Florence L. Warder. Norman was a brick mason and carpenter and had his own construction business for many years. Norman had a passion for life and lived it to its fullest. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or funny story. He loved the outdoors and spent much of his time hiking, biking, canoeing, gardening/yardwork and building (houses, log cabins, just about anything). He was always willing and able to do whatever he could to help others. He enjoyed music, especially country and gospel. And for years, he taught country dancing at various venues throughout MD, VA and WV. He loved to sing and played the piano, guitar, drums and even harmonica. During the past 6 years, he was a member of the Grace Gospel Worship Center in Clinton, MD where he was baptized in the Name of Jesus.

Norman loved to travel. Over his lifetime, he acquired his pilot’s license and had an airplane, helicopter (experimental), tractor trailer, motorcycles and many motor homes, in which he enjoyed traveling across the country. He loved animals and during his life had a wide variety, from horses, sheep and chickens to dogs, cats, rabbits and peacocks.

Norman is survived by his daughter, Karen L. Qutub (Alexandria, VA), brother Charles C. Warder (Brooksville, FL), sister Lillian T. Warder (Waldorf, MD), many nieces and nephews and loving companion, Mary Carol Jones. He was preceded in death by brothers Daniel E., George and Stanley and sisters Betty and Charlotte Anne.
