MARIA HOFFMAN Of Alexandria, VA passed away peacefully on March 14, 2016 at the Leewood Assisted Living Home. Maria is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence Gerlinger and Maria Wedl, and her adoring husband Scott Nelson Hoffman. Maria is survived by her loving sons, Michael Kominko of Cleveland, OH and Daniel Kominko of Springfield, VA; five grandchildren, Adam, Emily, John, Sarah and Stephen; and a host of other family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Maria worked with Fairfax County School System. A visitation and celebration of Maria’s life will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cunningham Church Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St. Alexandria VA. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 8 a.m. at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, 2006 Belle View Blvd. Alexandria, VA with the interment to follow at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA. I am truly sorry for your loss, please accept my deepest sympathy. During difficult times like these, the Bible gives us comfort and a hope found at Revelation 21:4, which speaks of a time when death, pain and mourning will be no more. I pray that this message brings your family much comfort in the days ahead.
