Louis Donald Westlein (Age 89)
Died on January 20, 2021, his birthday, in Washington, DC. Louis was a lifelong resident of Washingon, DC. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy Pullman, his parents Joseph Westlein and Rose Majulien , four brothers and four sisters. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his four nephews and eight nieces. Louis is survived by nieces Patricia Young, Deborah Goldsmith, Nancy Wertz, Ronnine Westlein, Robin Woodward, Joan Westlein, Sandra Mulvey and Linda Westlein La Pan and nephews Joseph Westlein, David Westlein, John Westlein and Richard Westlein. He and his brothers and sisters grew up on 37th Street in Georgetown and attended Holy Trinity School and church. Louis worked for Woodward and Lothrop and other furniture stores refinishing and servicing furniture. At one time he owned a Castro Convertible furniture store. He was a veteran, serving in the US Navy in the 50s. He was especially proud of his service on a Navy blimp. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the USO or Holy Trinity School 1325 36th Street NW, Washington DC 20007 or Trinity.org/give.
The family will receive friends at the Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 81 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA 22314, on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 10 AM until his Life Celebration at 10:30 AM. Interment with Navy Honors will be at Quantico National Cemetery at 11:30 AM
