Alexandria, VA Lillie D. Branson, a long-time resident of the Washington DC Metropolitan area, passed away Saturday, July 15 at the Hermitage Health Unit.
Born in 1927 in DesMoines, IA, to George and Rosea Darhanian, Lillie attended the University of Maryland for two years prior to obtaining work with the Federal government. She retired from the Department of Army as a Traffic Management Specialist in 1982.
Lillie was an active member of All Saints’ Episcopal Church of Chevy Chase, MD during most of her adult life. She was a member the All Saint’s Women’s Guide, enjoyed big band music, and dancing.
She is survived by one son, Bruce Branson, and one daughter, Caroline Caton (Gary), both of Alexandria, VA, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service in Lillie’s honor will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 22nd at the Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.
