Uncle Lester, you tought me so much, Im at a loss for words. I love you so very much, but know you are so much more at peace now. I love you. Jani
Lester was such a quiet, gentle man who clearly loved his family. We will miss him in the neighborhood. Pat Carroll
My condolences to the Thacker family. So sorry for your loss. Please know caring thoughts are with the family during this most difficult time. The Bible refers to ‘death’ as mankind’s enemy. At 1 Corinthians 15:29 we are promised that very soon now, “Death Will Be Brought To Nothing.” What a wonderful prospect! With death gone, only everlasting life will remain! We are guaranteed, “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming, in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice the voice of Jesus and Come Out…” John 5:28,29 With deepest sympathy.
Lester was one of the most cheerful and loving men I’ve ever known. He cared about everyone, especially his family. He was wonderful with children and babies. He may be gone, but his spirit, the friendship and love he shared with us, and the special memories we all have of him will always be with us. I grieve for having lost him, but we should also celebrate having known him. He was an amazing person.
I am sorry for your family’s loss. I have many fond memories of Mr. Thacker–from trying to help Toby and I fix my truck which somehow had managed to catch fire while we were working on it in my mother’s driveway to the wisdom which he freely imparted while visiting with him at parties. Warm memories abide ,and I am much better for having known him. I hope the joy and good memories sustain everyone during the sadness of grief. His larger than life presence will be missed.
Deathe leaves no beautiful corpses, none.
Condolences to the Thacker family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says Jehovah God, “heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds.” May God bring you comfort and peace.
