Kathy Marie Palmer, 68, most recently of Fort Belvoir, Virginia, died on June 16, 2022. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Kathy was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on July 8, 1953, and grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she was a graduate of Brainerd High School. She studied education, receiving degrees from both the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Kathy was a teacher for more than 20 years, working at various times with students of all ages, including a stint helping Army soldiers earn their GEDs.
