Katherine Kaky Randolph Turpin, 67, passed away on May 07, 2017, following a prolonged ilillness. Kaky, formerly of Richmond, Virginia, is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Giorgio Gnugnoli, her sister Mary Turpin Barradale of Richmond, 5 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and many family and friends in the DC and Richmond areas. Kaky graduated from VCU and completed graduate studies at Georgetown and George Washington Universities. She worked for the US Information Agency and the US State Department, from which she retired in 2003. Following her retirement, she obtained her Certification as a Gemologist, and kept active in the National Press Club, having served on the Board of Directors.There will be a memorial service announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kaky’s name to Planned Parenthood https://www.plannedparenthood.org or to the no-kill animal shelter of your choice.

While it is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Kathrine, it saddens God more. In the days ahead, you will reflect on her seemingly small, yet precious memories. This occurs, especially when we experience the loss of someone loved. However, take confidence in knowing that just as you have memories, almighty God remembers too.
