John Grey, Jr. 80, son of the late Marion and John Grey, Sr. and his beloved Aunt Alma Silliman. He was born August 11, 1939 in Monroe, Louisiana. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Medstar Montgomery Medical Center. He proudly served his country in the United States Army after graduating high school and three years of college. He served two tours in the Vietnam War. He discharged on March 27, 1972 after twelve years of service. He worked in commodities.
John loved God, family and country. John was an avid history buff. He loved to read, play cards, listen to music, and cooking; especially Cajun Style seafood, and following the Stock Market. He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a big Redskins Fan.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol A. Grey, two children; Nicole G. Bentley, and Georgianna A. Grey, two grandchildren, Alicia D. Bentley, and Kevin L. Bentley and a great grandchild Shauna SJ Berry.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a private service will be held at Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, VA. A Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date once the restrictions have been lifted.
