Harold Shipp of Alexandria died on November 5, 2015 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruby L. Shipp; children, Karen Arnold and Kevin Shipp. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Harvey and Claude Shipp. Mr. Shipp was the manager of Fairfax Ice Arena for 30 years. He was known as a “Good Ole Kentucky Boy”, he had a good heart and was very generous, and he loved to tell dirty jokes. Services will be private.

    Condolences to your family. May you receive comfort from God’s word during this time of loss. Acts 24:15 says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. Can you imagine the joy of Martha and Mary when Jesus raised Lazarus back to life?—Read John 11:21-24, 38-44.

    Uncle Harold was a sweet and fun-loving person. Our family has lost a jewel and he will be missed. Aunt Ruby, Karen and Kevin, hang in there. I love you! Look to God for strength.

    I worked with Harold at the ice rink during the 90s. He was an inspiration and teacher of many aspects of life. I am deeply saddened by the news he has passed. I will always remember him as being the funny and kind man he taught people to be. My condolences to your family and may he rest in peace.
