Greer Anita Carter beloved, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother was called to God’s Eternal Home of Peace on Thursday, May 30,2019. Born May 11th, 1955 to the late Benjamin Carter Sr. and the late Nellie Moore Carter in New Orleans
Louisiana, where she gave her life to Christ at an early age.

Greer attended Mc-Carthy Elementary, Lawless Junior High, and a 1973 graduate of
George Washington Carver Senior High. She’s also in 1983 graduate of Southern University of New Orleans Louisiana. In 1984 Greer enlisted in the United States Marine corps. There she ultimately seized the opportunity to pursue and accomplish many life achievements.

Greer enjoyed motherhood, traveling, teaching, reading, music, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family. Throughout this time she produced countless memories that brought about a glorious life, which she lived life to the fullest.

Greer leaves behind two children, one daughter, one son, and two grandchildren; Chanel Sanchez Armstrong, Kevin Carter, Nasir Carter, Asa Carter. As well as three siblings Benjamin Carter Jr., Claudia Franks, and Saverne Carter. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephew, and cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her late siblings, Carl Carter, Berle Carter, Lana Green and Kenneth Carter.

The family will receive friends 11am Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St. Alexandria, VA 22314. A Life Celebration service will begin at 12pm, followed by interment at Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA.

    Although we are cousins, It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen Greer. I was very sadden to hear of her passing. To all, family and friends. There will be a resurrection, and we will see all of our dear loved ones who feel asleep in death. Acts 24:15.
    One day very we will no longer have to face sickness nor death, Revelation 21: 1-5. And always remember, Jehovah is” the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials”. He’s the one that gives us peace of mind!

Words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one, and death is a truly painful enemy to the human family. Please take comfort in 2 promises from gods word the Bible.
