Gerald “Zayde” Sleph Age 85 Passed peacefully on May 10, 2015, cherished husband of Beverly Lerner Sleph; devoted father of daughters, Pami Sleph and Alicia Gordon; proud grandfather of Jason Saavedra; and loving brother to Leanore Wartell. Jerry was a project manager for DOD-DISA HQ with tours of duty in Germany, Korea and Japan. Zayde was a founder of the Art Glass Center at Glen Echo, MD, where the gallery is dedicated to him. He was a 41 year member of Congregation Olam Tikvah, Fairfax, VA.Funeral services will be held in Louisville, KY. Shiva will be observed Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 8 p.m. in the family home in Annandale, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Congregation Olam Tikvah, the Art Glass Center at Glen Echo, or the charity of your choice .
