    Ellie and Family,

I was so saddened to learn that George passed away. He was a kind man, a role model, and a friend. It was truly a privilege to be his colleague at W.T. Woodson and to team-teach Biology with him. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr Crump made my less favorite subjects fun! I always remember his fervor when he was teaching. He also played the best music during lab time. I thought our field trip to the water treatment facility was going to be shitty (he’d appreciate the pun), but it was one of my favorites. He made everything interesting. Thank you Mr Crump!!!

  5. Sarah Sigillito says:

He taught me for AP bio. I was a terrible student but he was a great teacher and his enthusiasm and forensic bio stories stuck with me. I will always remember him fondly❤️

  6. Ellen says:

Mr Crump was my chemistry teacher at Woodson in the 1990s. He made the subject so interesting and so accessible and was such a nice man. He is one of the teachers I remember really impacting me in high school and I’m so sorry to hear of his passing.

  7. Hannah Heishman says:

May God hold you gently in the palm of His hand, and bless you with comfort, warmth, love, and grace. May you know how valued George was as a Hardy County first responder; without question, there are people alive today because of him. I hope coming days bring laughter from joyful memories, to balance and ease the grief. What Is Remembered, Lives, and we will remember him well. Blessings…

I had Prof. Crump for 4 classes at Lfcc during 2017-2018. He was such a passionate and caring person. I kept in touch via email, just to see how how he was doing. He always responded quickly to me, asking me how school was going. I will graduate this year with my forensic degree and I am so very sad he won’t be there. I am proud to say that he was my friend. I would like to offer my condolences to Prof. Crumps family. He was such a very precious person and he will missed greatly.
