Gail Shanklin was born Gail Renette Mobley in Hawthorne, FL on April 21 1948. She spent her formative years growing up as the eldest of five in Florida until her family relocated to Connecticut in her adolescence. There she would later meet her husband, Breckenridge Shanklin, and have two sons. She remained in Connecticut for majority of her life. Gail was loved. All who met her spoke of how memorable and straightforward she was. She is predeceased by her mother Bettye Mobley, her husband, Breckenridge Shanklin, her sister Patricia Eaddy and her second son Darryl Shanklin. She is survived by her eldest son, Breckenridge Shanklin Jr. and his wife Mary, her sisters, Trudy Fowler, Phyllis Eugene and Deborah Nance, her grandchildren, Terryl Walker, Deneace Walker, Shanell Poole, Apryl Daraja, Asziah Shanklin and Adriahn Shanklin and a host of great grandchildren.
