Florence Casarella died peacefully in her home in Bristow, Virginia on August 28th, 2021 at the age of 95. She was born in the Bronx, New York. Florence lived in Queens and Deer Park, New York for most of her life before settling in Bristow, Virginia to be closer to her family.
Growing up, she briefly worked at her uncle’s soda fountain in his pharmacy and after some business training, worked in layout and design at a Manhattan advertising agency. Florence was very artistic and enjoyed all forms of needlework which she began as a youngster and continued to enjoy until her stroke in November 2020.
Florence is preceded in death by her husband Lucas (2004) and daughter Lynn Belfield (2014). She is survived by her daughter Enid Fabian, sons-in-law Stephen Fabian and Douglas Belfield, grandchildren Andrew Belfield (spouse Katie), Michelle Riesman (spouse Walker), Alexander Fabian, Nicole Fabian, and great granddaughter Josephine Reisman.
She will be greatly missed. Her spirit and love of life will long remain with her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 3:00 PM at King David Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA
