On Monday, April 23, 2018, Elsie I. Kirby of Alexandria, Virginia passed away at home surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Kirby Sr., sister, Jane (Bill), daughters, Lillian, Cynthia, Pamela (Pete), Jacqueline (Bill), Susan (Tim), her son Charles (Carrie), step children, Thomas Jr., Theodore (Sherree), Elizabeth, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Elsie was born January 21, 1928 in Alexandria, Virginia.  She and Tom resided in Flordia for almost 40 years and moved back to Virginia in 2016 to be with family.

She loved life and took each day with a grain of salt and with a great sense of humor. Elsie was a loving and devoted wife, sister,mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great grandmother always putting her family first.  She was and is truly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Graveside service will be held 12pm, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Mount Comfort Cemetery.
