Elizabeth Tracy Louison, of Alexandria, VA died on December 11, 2016 at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, VA, from complications of breast cancer.Beth was born on May 29, 1955 in Alexandria, VA, the fourth of five children of the late Winifred R. Tracy and John J. Tracy of Alexandria. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Rodney R. Louison, and her children Meredith, Clifford, Eileen, and Dylan Louison, all of Alexandria, and her stepdaughter, Stacey Hecht of Fairfax, VA. Beth is also survived by her sister, Eileen Murray of Quincy, FL and her brothers, Kevin Tracy Patricia, of Alexandria, Donald Tracy Loraine of Richmond, VA, and Thomas Tracy of Fairfax, VA. Beth’s Aunts, Mrs. Mary McLaughlin of Lewes, DE, and Mrs. Elizabeth Grady of North Conway, NH also survive her, as do 18 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.Beth was a 1973 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Alexandria, VA. She attended St. Leo University. St. Leo, FL, and received a B.A. from Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, NC, in 1977. She was awarded a M.S. in Administration of Justice by Virginia Commonwealth University in 1986. Beth was employed as a staff assistant to Rep. Herbert Harris, 8th District, VA, in 1980. From 1981 until 1988, Beth served as a Probation Officer for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Beth was employed as a U.S. Probation and Parole Officer from 1988 until her retirement from federal service in 2012, as a Senior Probation Officer in the U.S. Probation Office at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of VA, Alexandria Division.Beth was a lifelong member of Little Hunting Park LHP Swim and Tennis Club where she enjoyed spending her summers. Beth was also a dedicated LHP volunteer, serving on the Board of Directors and as the LHP representative to the Northern Virginia Swim League. Beth was also an active volunteer at St. Rita Catholic Church and School in Alexandria.The family will receive visitors at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA on Thursday, December 15 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita Catholic Church in Alexandria on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m..
