Earl E. Balsbaugh, 84, of Alexandria, died on January 18, 2015 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, VA. He is preceeded in death by his children, Paul and Joseph Balsbaugh. He is survived by his children, James, Mark, and Patrick Balsbaugh Terri, and Susan Callahand; grandchildren, James Jr., Charles P., Crystal, and Ian Balsbaugh; siblings, Ginny Engling and Wiley Balsbaugh. Earl was a long time member of the Machinist Union.The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm, a Life Celebration service will begin at 7pm, Saturday, January 24, 2014 at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St. Alexandria, VA 22314. Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

It say ” A good name is better than fine oil and the day of death better than the day of birth.” So much more can be said and fondly remembered of a person on the day of death than on his birth.
