Dorothy Mae Kennedy was my 2nd mother for 34 years. She was a wonderful lady devoted to her husband, children, their spouses and the grands and great grands. She will be missed. No more pain, no more feelings of being lost. Her happiness now is being with her Savior and her husband.
Dorothy was spirited, funny, gracious, and very loving. She’s now with Melvin, her parents, and Joyce, watching over the rest of the Kennedy clan. Rest in peace, beautiful lady.
Dorothy and my mother, Gayle were dear friends for many years. They were both members Ruth class at Downtown Baptist Church. This was a special relationship of lovely ladies that spanned many years. These two were also bonded by Little League baseball. Oh, the hours they spent chatting while sitting on the bleachers watching games. I know they spent countless hours visiting on the phone. I remember Dorothy as a beautiful woman that truly emulated her love of life by her happy personality, interest in others, her infectious laugh, and her devotion to her family. May God bless Dorothy and her family.
My condolences to the many family members and family. May God wrap comforting arms around you all.
Rich and I send our prayers to Patsy, her siblings and all the grandchildren. I know Dorothy was a well-loved member of a wonderful family. As you send Dorothy up to the angels, may the many stories and memories her family shares together bring all a feeling of peace and gratitude.
Patsy, Ed, Daniel and David,
We are so sorry to hear about Dorothy\’s passing – she was such a big part of your lives and will leave a hole that nothing will ever quite fill. Hopefully, her reuniting with other missed family members will bring comfort during this difficult time
Love,
Dan and Linda
I offer my sincere condolences on hearing of the passing of Dorothy. She was definitely one the ones the Bible mentions as being “conscience of their spiritual need.” Matthew 5:3 She knew that fulfilling that need was especially vital. I know she would have appreciated the comforting words of our Creator at Acts 24:15 which says “There will be a resurrection.” This thought frees us from the morbid fear of death mentioned at Hebrews 2:15.
