Dorothy Cecelia Stewart, age 88, of Washington D.C., went to be with Her Lord on November 10, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Leo Stewart. Loving mother of Marvin Stewart, Ricardo “Rick” Stewart and Jonathan Stewart (Michaela). Cherished grandmother of Tracy Silva, Sam Stewart, and Jack Stewart. Great grandmother of Trent Silva and Alexis Silva. Dear sister of Mary Elizabeth Delaney. Dorothy was the adored daughter of the late Joseph and Etorie Barber. She was predeceased by her daughter Denise Coleman.
Dorothy was a Clerk for the United States Postal Service for many years. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, doing crossword puzzles and rooting for the Redskins. Dorothy was a member of the Catholic faith.
The family will receive friends at the Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 on Monday , November 25, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of her Life Celebration at 10:30 AM
