David Lewis Kidd, 59 years old, after losing his fight with heart and lung disease, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 after suffering cardiac arrest at Alexandria Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda A. Davis Kidd and his daughters, Jennifer L. Kidd and Katherine L. Kidd of Alexandria,VA. He is also survived by his in-laws, Ralph H. and Dorothy L. Davis, his sister-in-law Joyce L. Davis-Ross Ronnie of Richmond, VA, his sister-in-law Nancy L. Davis Trent Gray of Stanley, VA, a close niece, Jaclyn L. Davis of Woodbridge, VA, a brother, George Spicer Agnes of Alexandria, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Dawson Kidd Connolly and his father, Robert E. Kidd, Sr., older brother, Robert Tink Kidd, Jr., and older sisters, Linda Jones and Diane Farr. David was a beloved husband, cherished father, and much loved ?neighborhood watch dog? and friend to all. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family will receive family and friends at Cunningham Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St., Alexandria, VA on Wednesday, August 29th from 6pm-8pm and Thursday, August 30th from 11am-12pm, with memorial services at 12pm. Interment to follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, S. Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA at 1:30pm. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the USO, Save the Bay Foundation, or the Humane Society.
I’m truely saddened to hear about the lost of Dave. My sympathy goes out to the Kidd Family. I worked with Dave at Pepsi and learned alot from him and for that I thank him. I will miss Dave even after not seeing him for a couple of years. Linda, Jennifer and Katherine be strong and cherish the time that was spent with Dave because i know he will always be with you.
