Charles E. (“Chuck”) Bullock was born in September 1946. He grew up in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. After graduating from the George Washington University Law School, Chuck embarked on a career with the Federal Government. He married the love of his life, Marie “Bitsy” in March 1973, and had two sons, Ryan, and Bennett. After serving as a member of the General Counsel at the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, he was appointed as Administrative Law Judge. His career included service to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and, in 2002, the U.S. International Trade Commission.

From 2011 onwards, he was appointed as Chief Judge at this agency. As Chief Judge, he travelled widely, sharing his expertise with officials in various countries, and in this capacity demonstrated remarkable communication skills. In December 2021, he retired from 50 years of service to be with his beloved wife. After a brave, year-long struggle with health issues, he passed away on November 26, 2022. His warmth and love for those around him will be sorely missed.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 7th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St., Alexandria, VA 22314. Funeral service will be on Thursday, December 8th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 228 S. Pitt St., Alexandria, VA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Washington Regional Transplant Community
