On February 7, 2010 at his home in Alexandria, VA. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Early; his children, Alexandra Blakeman Early, Megan Brent McIntyre, and Owen O?Henley McIntyre; and two grandchildren, Mac and Calum McIntyre. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11:00 am at Christ Church, Alexandria, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association National Headquarters, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
